Mana Saraghi, DMD – Faculty View CV
Dr. Mana Saraghi is a Dentist Anesthesiologist. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from New York University, graduating summa cum laude and being inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She then pursued her graduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She completed a 24 month CODA accredited residency in anesthesiology at the Jacobi Medical Center, in affiliation with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in New York City.
After completing residency, Dr Saraghi took a position as an attending dentist anesthesiologist at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Dr Saraghi has been able to provide sedation and anesthesia to a diverse patient population, including both children and adults, especially those who are dental phobic and/or medically compromised. She has also been involved in teaching various modalities of pain and anxiety control to pedodontic and periodontic residents. She is also active in clinical research focusing on novel anesthetics and drug delivery systems.
Putting patient safety first, Dr Saraghi strives to allay anxiety and preempt pain. She treats patients of all ages, with an emphasis on serving those with dental phobias, developmental disabilities, and medical comorbidities. Dr Saraghi enjoys teaching her dental colleagues. She believes that with appropriate training in patient selection and in identification, prevention, and management of medical emergencies, anxiolysis and conscious sedation may become more accessible to the dental public.
